A major project for us, completed in October 2026: the toilet block refurbishment at Kai Iwi Lakes (Taharoa Domain). We carried out the plumbing and drainage: new toilets and urinals, alterations to the showers, renewed drainage, and decommissioning of the old holding tanks under the toilet block. We also installed a water tank and pump to harvest and use rainwater, and supplied the tapware and fixtures.

Four school toilet blocks, staged around the school year
Plumbing and drainage for four toilet block refurbishments at Hurupaki School, delivered for Alpha Construction on a Ministry of Education project. We carried out the strip-out of the old fixtures, installed new waste pipes and floor wastes beneath the concrete floors, connected the new drains to the existing sewer ready for council inspection, and supplied and installed the new toilets (including accessible toilets), basins, sinks and hot water. Completed in two planned stages, with the school open throughout.

Staffroom refurbishment, from strip-out to handover
The plumbing for the staffroom refurbishment at Manaia View School, delivered for Alpha Construction on a Ministry of Education project. We made the existing services safe ahead of demolition, then installed new water supply for the kitchen, a new under-bench hot water cylinder, filtered drinking water and an instant boiling water unit, and connected the dishwasher and coffee machine. We supplied the tapware and hot water systems, then tested and commissioned everything before handover in June 2026.

Asbestos off, new roof on
We managed the showroom re-roof for the owner of the Snow Bros building in Dargaville as head contractor, then completed the workshop re-roof as well. The scope covered scaffolding and public fencing on a working site, licensed asbestos removal from the old roof and ceiling space with independent air monitoring and clearance, a new roof with fresh underlay, flashings and spouting, and new wall cladding and fascias, painted to finish. We coordinated every trade on the job and carried out the bulk of the work over the Christmas shutdown, so trading carried on uninterrupted.

A home extended and renovated, hot water to drainage
We're providing the plumbing, gas and drainage for a home extension and renovation near Dargaville, with JH Builders. The scope covers a hot water upgrade from a gas califont to a new mains pressure cylinder, heated by a wetback on a new fireplace that we installed, with a diversion valve that sends the water through the califont to boost it when it's needed; plumbing for the new kitchen, with an LPG gas cooker installed and certified; a new second bathroom and a renovation of the existing bathroom; and an extension to the existing effluent dispersal system. So far the hot water, fireplace and gas cooker are in, with the fit-off and drainage still to come.

New Urgent Care Ward
We're currently providing the plumbing for the new Urgent Care Ward at Dargaville Hospital, working for Taylor and Long Construction. The scope covers new water supply and waste pipework to the ward's fixtures, an extension of the existing hot and cold water ring mains, and the supply of fixtures and tapware. The work is carried out around asbestos removal on site and in step with the builder's programme, with water shutdowns done after hours.

We're providing the drainage and plumbing for the full rebuild of a school block at Te Kura o Otangarei, with classrooms, a bathroom and a whānau room, working for Constructed Limited on a Ministry of Education project. The scope covers new sewer drainage to the existing sewer, perimeter drains into the stormwater, the water supply, waste and hot water for the bathroom and classroom sinks, and the supply of fixtures and tapware, including accessible toilets. So far the existing services have been disconnected ahead of the strip-out.

We're carrying out the plumbing, drainage and roofing for the C block rebuild at Dargaville High School, working for Guyco Construction on a Ministry of Education project. The scope covers subfloor and in-wall water and waste pipework, new hot water cylinders, the fit-off and supply of toilets (including accessible toilets), basins, a shower, cleaner's sink and drinking fountain, new sewer and stormwater drainage with silt traps, sumps and downpipes, and new roofing and box gutters to the east and west verandahs. So far the existing services have been disconnected and the in-wall pipework and roof penetrations completed, with the drainage work next.
