What's backflow, and why test it?
Backflow is water flowing the wrong way: from your property back into the public water supply. A backflow prevention device stops that, so dirty or contaminated water can't get into everyone's drinking water.
Testing checks the device is still doing its job. A testable device needs testing by an IQP when it's installed and every year after that to stay compliant. They're common on businesses, farms, schools and buildings with a building warrant of fitness (BWOF), and on properties with irrigation or chemicals connected to the water.
Got a letter from the council about backflow? That's why. Give us a call and we'll book your test in.

Backflow questions
How often does a backflow device need testing?
When it's installed, and then every year to stay compliant.
What happens if my device fails?
Sometimes we can repair it on the spot. If it needs parts, we order them and come back to finish the job.
Who gets the test report?
We can send it to the council or your BWOF agent, or to you to pass on. Just let us know.
